FEST

Charaka 2.0 Fest is an eagerly awaited inter-collegiate fest for students. The event was diligently organized in our college. There was a soul to it. A soul that was vibrant, contagious and exuberant. Organization of such inter-college fest helps the students’

*To learn networking and soft skills,
*To make you a critical thinker,
*Mixes learning with the area of interest.
*As college needs to attract big crowds.

In this mega event, many colleges from Kodagu took part. The fest was organized for a day which included IT, Commerce along with the cultural events.

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

The cultural committee of MGMDCK has been very active since the beginning of the college. A college educational experience offers the student, not only academic and social opportunities but also a variety of other experiences. It strives to celebrate the cultural diversity in the college by organizing various competitions, events, activities, programmes and days like Rangoli, Mehendi, Best out of waste, Cooking without fire, Essay writing, Bride and Groom make up, Debate, Pencil sketch, flower arrangements, Singing and Dancing competitions etc. The cultural events provides various opportunities for the students to relax, to enhance their skills and talents. The Teacher and student co-ordinators of the Cultural committee take a lot of efforts to plan, to guide, to organize the various events and competitions in the college at intra college level. Students from our college took participation in maximum number in competitions.The committee also creates a platform that provides the students a lot of opportunities to showcase their talents in variety of events and competitions.

THE YOUTH RED CROSS

"The Youth Red Cross"is a constituent of the Indian Red Cross Society (Karnataka): A group movement organized at the initial stages for students between 18 to 25 years of age. We in our college, have a Youth Red Cross wing. Any student of any discipline can become a YRC member.

Why you should be a member of YRC
The hope of every nation in the world is its young people. We, in our institution, prepare our students to be caring citizens so that they have an opportunity to touch the lives of the needy and the helpless. We try to make a difference in our students through YRC.

Activities of YRC Members:

Three cardinal principles encompass all YRC activities:

1.Promotion of health and life.
2.Service to the sick and the suffering.
3.Promotion of national and international friendship to develop the mental and moral capacities of the youth.

Holding on to these principles, YRC volunteers work in the following areas:

3.Relief work during emergencies like flood, fire and other natural calamities
4.National Integration
5.World friendliness
